Jun 17th, 2021Podcast Discussion with Mim, Lyndsay and Herb

7pm to 8pm (EDT)

Join the Podcast Discussion Forum and share your thoughts on working towards Indigenous and Settler reconciliation.  What can we do as settlers in Canada to journey together towards hope and healing? Hear more from podcast guests Lyndsay Mollins-Koene, Mim Harder and Herb Sawatzky.

Lyndsay lives with her family in Timmins, Ont., Treaty Nine territory, and traditional homeland of Mattagami First Nation. Lyndsay's work and involvement with MCCs Indigenous Neighbours Program began in 1993, and MCC continues to be called to recognize equity around food sovereignty, access to clean water for First Nations, economic justice and the ongoing education work involving both Truth and Reconciliation.

Herb lives and pastors in the Niagara Region, the traditional territory of the Anishinaabe, Haudenosaunee, Attawandaron, and other First Nations. Herb loves his family, gardening, barbecuing and cooking, reading, and entering peacefully into deep and profound disagreements (occasionally spending long nights getting himself to a place where he can best do so).

Mim currently lives in Durham Region, on the Original Lands of the Huron-Wyandotte, Hodinohso:no and Anishinaabe relatives. Mim is striving to help braid understanding and build bridges between Nations that live on this Land today. Mim works with KAIROS and Mennonite Central Committee Indigenous Neighbours providing training, facilitating, education and Grandmother responsibilities.
