This is a volunteer position. The MCEC Communications Task Group will be a part of the MCEC creative team and will provide support to the Communications Director. Their tasks will include, but not be limited by, the following: creation of posters; brochures; special campaigns; website development and maintenance; story interviews; story writing. The Task Group will work primarily independently but there may be times when collaboration or group meetings will be needed.

Administrative & Financial Services Council

The AFSC manages the fiscal, legal, property, and administrative aspects of MCEC as a corporation in keeping with the MCEC Statement of Identity and Purpose (Extending the Peace of Jesus Christ - making disciples - growing congregations - forming leaders) to provide a supportive framework for the MCEC ministries.

Membership: Four persons elected to three year terms.

Responsibilities

Congregational Ministries Council

The CMC shall encourage and facilitate healthy congregational life through the discovery and release of God given gifts in keeping with the MCEC Statement of Identity and Purpose - Extending the Peace of Jesus Christ - making disciples, growing congregations, forming leaders.

Membership: Seven members elected to three year terms.

Responsibilities

Executive Council

The Executive Council shall serve as a catalyst in shaping the identity and purpose of MCEC; overseeing the ministry and promotion the vision held in the MCEC Statement of Identity and Purpose - Extending the Peace of Jesus Christ - making disciples - growing congregations - forming leaders.

Membership - Nine elected persons. Four elected to three year terms to Executive Committee. Five elected to three year terms.

Responsibilities

Leadership Council

The Leadership Council shall oversee the calling, training and credentialing of pastoral leaders in keeping with the MCEC Statement of Identity and Purpose (Extending the Peace of Jesus Christ - making disciples - growing congregations - forming leaders) to maintain a strong base of congregational leadership.

Membership: Seven members elected to three year terms.

Mission Council

The Mission Council shall promote a culture of missional ministry with the mandate of "Extending the peace of Jesus Christ - making disciples - growing congregations - forming leaders" (MCEC's Mission statement) as a focus in all activities of the Mission council. 

Membership: 7 members elected to 3-year terms.
