Mission Council

The Mission Council shall promote a culture of missional ministry with the mandate of "Extending the peace of Jesus Christ - making disciples - growing congregations - forming leaders" (MCEC's Mission statement) as a focus in all activities of the Mission council. 

Membership: 7 members elected to 3-year terms.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide support for the Mission Minister
  • Help supported mission project, by helping connect congregations and resources 
  • Develop an annual budget for MCEC Mission 
  • Help special leaders to become church planters
  • Serve as a link to denominational & global mission ministries
  • Be attentive to peace & justice issues and find opportunities in these areas
  • Nurture service opportunities for youth & young adults
  • Appoint and/or participate in ad hoc committees as necessary
