Transformed through God's Love

Entering the home, I was greeted by a young man speaking to himself and swearing loudly. The house was a mess and full of images of gods. The mother, Ana*, was in tears, terrified of this young man, her son.

I now understood why a concerned friend had asked me to pray for this young man and his mother. This was not the kind of reception I was expecting, but I knew that God would use me to bring his love into these troubled lives.

I began to speak to Ana of God's love and healing. She calmed down and listened intently. An invitation to Markham Christian Worship Centre was met with enthusiasm.

Following that initial visit, I picked up Ana every Sunday and brought her to the worship service of Markham Christian Worship Centre. Once a week I went to the home for prayer. Gradually, the images of gods were removed. The son began to quietly join in the prayer time and Ana rejoiced as she observed changes in her son's behaviour.

Now, both mother and son have become followers of Jesus. They are an important part of Markham Christian Worship Centre. Ana, through a ministry of prayer, is a blessing to this faith community.

God has done wonderful things through our church. We have seen many people healed and people are coming to faith in God. I want to give thanks and all the glory to God.
