Pastors New to MCEC Ministry Introduced
at Annual Church Gathering

"The place God calls you to is the place where your deep gladness and the world's deep hunger meet." prayer of blessing

Eshetu Asfaw (Maranatha Evangelical Church) "I love to serve God and I have a passion to help, serve and teach people...It hasn't always been easy, but God has always been faithful."

Ben Cassels (Waterloo North Mennonite Church) " I have a five week old daughter at home and have been realizing that how I pastor and work with people will influence the type of leaders she will interact with in the coming years of her life."

Jenny Csinos (Erb Street Mennonite Church) "My favourite part of being a pastor is teaching. I love bringing new ideas, having conversations with people, and learning from each other."

Greg Dick (Vineland United Mennonite Church) "I get to be involved in people's spiritual lives and walk with them as they question and seek God's face and voice. It is life-giving to me."

Norm Dyck (Listowel Mennonite Church) "The greatest joy for me is being invited into the holy spaces of individuals or families in the congregation...It is wonderful to be God's people together." Christina Edmiston (Wanner Mennonite Church) "Ministry feels as though it fits like a glove. The community that we have here is very precious and rare in our society...the fact that I can be a part of that on a daily basis...is both bizarre and wonderful at the same time."

Ashenafi Fulase (Freedom Gospel Ethiopian Church) "My desire is to see God's glory taking place in people's lives. I enjoy seeing people's lives being transformed and seeing them grow into the likeness of Christ. I am satisfied when I see people encouraged and changed by the word of God."

Sririsak Saythavy (Grace New Life Mennonite Church) "My great joy of being a pastor is when the good news of salvation and God's love is shared to our people. My heart is crying to see more souls that have been lost to come to Christ."

Nick Schuurman (First Hmong Mennonite Church) "The more I understand and come to know God, the more I want to see God made known in the world and see people introduced to him and turned upside down by him. It brings me great joy to see 'new creation' change within a community."

Amanda Zehr (Listowel Mennonite Church) "I really love to work with children and youth. I like getting to know them and helping them to discover how God has gifted them and how they can use that both in the church and in the broader community."
