Sharing the Gift of Preserving

Engaging the World Blog

  • Read more how a "baseball coach pastor guy" reaches out to his community!
  • How is your congregation engaging the world in the gospel and extending the peace of Jesus Christ?
  • Inpire others and be inspired as we share, learn, and grow as a community of congregations.
  • Share your congregational story or add a comment to a posted story.

We all have stories to share. Stories make us laugh and cry, teach us lessons and encourage us in our Christian walk. This blog was created to provide a place of encouragement and inspiration for the MCEC community of congregations. Let's chat!

On The Same Page

On the Same Page is a way to connect congregations to helpful resources by featuring the books that MCEC staff and volunteers are reading.

Brian Bauman, Mission Minister, recommends When Helping Hurts: How to Alleviate Poverty Without Hurting the Poor... and Yourself by Steve Corbett and Brian Fikkert

"This book reveals the truths about the complex issues of poverty and gives people like me, who live in the materially wealthy world, a better understanding of what it is. I highly recommend it to all congregational Mission Committees, Pastors and finance people." - Brian Bauman

If you have a resource that you feel would be helpful to the MCEC community of congregations, and would perhaps be interested in writing a short review, please contact Joan Schooley, MCEC Administrative Assistant.
