Off To Ethiopia!
One Congregation's Mission Trip - Read more of the excitement and anticipation as Bethel Mennonite Church sends a small group to Ethiopia to meet up with Bethel members in mission, Dianne & Fanosie Legesee. Dianne and Fanosie are servings as volunteers with Mennonite Church Canada and are connected with the Meserete Kristos College.

Coming soon to a future edition of Connections - a first hand account from one of the team members - Cassie Lachance.

The MCEC community of congregations are called to a common mission and vision of extending the peace of Jesus Christ in our local communities, across the street and around the world.

On The Same Page - Book Review!

On the Same Page is a way to connect congregations to helpful resources by featuring the books that MCEC staff and volunteers are reading.

Maurice Martin, Regional Minister, recommends Beyond Me: Grounding Youth Ministry in God's Story by Wendell Loewen.

"The book is useful for all who work with youth - pastors, youth sponsors, and parents of youth. It puts before you a more holistic approach to youth ministry in the life of the church, rather than a ghettoized 'youth work' model." - Maurice Martin

If you have a resource that you feel would be helpful to the MCEC community of congregations, and would perhaps be interested in writing a short review, please contact Joan Schooley, MCEC Administrative Assistant.
