How do you navigate the community when you are not a part of it? Persons working in congregations that are not their home congregation.

• Worship is uncluttered
• Downside: Intracacies of the church are not known
• Connections are everything in a church community
• Not encumbered by personal histories and familiarities
• Everyone usually has the "best foot forward"
• Easy to draw boundaries
• Not in ministry role as a confidant
• Downside: do not meet congregational members day to day
• Able to separate self from any issues
• Able to attend special services
