Consider the Birds: Point Pelee Pre-ACG Contemplative Nature Walk April 26

Join MCEC Eco-Minister Wendy Janzen for an afternoon excursion to Point Pelee National Park. The park is just 16 km south of UMEI, and is famous for the spring bird migration. Come and enjoy the unique Carolinian forest, the Lake Erie shoreline, spring wildflowers, and whatever birds and wildlife we find.

Friday, April 26

12:30     Meet in the parking lot at North Leamington United Mennonite Church to car-pool to the park

1:00       Consider the Birds: Group contemplative walk and bird watching / nature connection

2:30       Visit to the Point (southernmost tip of Canada) or the marsh boardwalk

3:30       Option to return to UMEI or stay an hour longer

5:00       Supper at UMEI (you must register in advance for supper as part of the ACG registration)

Admission fees: Per Car - $17.50 (includes all passengers), OR Adult - $9.00; Senior - $7.75 (65+); Youth - free (17-)

Please eat lunch beforehand (or bring a bag lunch), bring your own binoculars, and dress for the outdoors and walking (mostly flat terrain).

No need to register.
